Interface: CustomLayerConfig

Properties

elevatedLinesLayer?

optional elevatedLinesLayer?: ElevatedLinesLayerConfig;

iconLayers?

optional iconLayers?: IconLayersConfig;

labelsLayer?

optional labelsLayer?: LabelLayerConfig;

tileCache?

optional tileCache?: DeckTileCacheConfig;

Bounds the in-memory tile caches of the deck.gl overlay layers. Optional; conservative defaults are applied when omitted so the overlays are always memory-bounded.

useTileWorker?

optional useTileWorker?: boolean;

Whether deck.gl may parse the overlay’s vector tiles in a Web Worker.

deck.gl does not bundle that worker. loaders.gl fetches it from unpkg.com the first time a tile is parsed, so leaving it on makes the 3D scene depend on a third-party CDN at runtime: kiosks that run offline, sites whose CSP does not allow unpkg, and networks that block it all lose the overlay — silently, because the fetch failure never surfaces.

Defaults to false, which parses tiles on the main thread and costs a little frame time while tiles load. Set to true to restore deck.gl’s own behaviour when that trade is worth it and the CDN is known to be reachable.
